Professionally

I work with clients to ensure they can live the type of lifestyle they want to today while making appropriate plans for the future.

I started my career as a financial planner in 2005, so I have a great deal of experience working with clients from all walks of life. I’ve worked for some of the largest advice firms in the UK and also for a smaller regional IFA.

On a day-to-day basis, I meet with clients to get to know them and understand what motivates them so that I can build a plan to suit their needs. I also have regular update meetings to ascertain what has changed on an individual basis and adapt and modify whatever is required to ensure personal goals are met.

And what I specialise in

As my service delivers a fully tailored solution, I now specialise in working with clients of higher net worth and more complex needs, as well as small to medium-sized enterprises and businesses.

A bit about me – personally

Away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my family; I have a teenage daughter and baby son who keep me very busy. However, my wife would point out I spend a fair bit of time on the golf course too! I do enjoy the odd round. We love eating out and good food in general, holidaying whenever possible and a rewarding drink after walking our Labrador.

Lucy Bullough

Professionally

With a background in marketing, my role at Bullough Financial Planning is quite varied. I have a great deal of experience with both internal and external communications so you can expect to hear from me via email and other channels! In addition, I forge partnerships with local businesses so that when they have clients seeking support with their finances, we can help.

And what I specialise in

I am a qualified marketer through the CIM and have spent my career in marketing roles at both national and global companies. Throughout my career, I have been responsible for a broad range of communications.

A bit about me – personally

Away from the office, you will find me spending time with my family – my husband, young son and teenage step-daughter. We love to eat out, walk our dog and go on holiday whenever possible.

I also enjoy spending time with friends, eating good food and perhaps a cocktail or two. I’ll head to the gym for a dance class, Yoga or Pilates, I love a cinema trip, watching a box set with my husband and reading different types of books.

Brian Ferguson

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Professionally

As Operations Manager with over 25 years’ experience in Financial Services, I am passionate about delivering a smooth and reliable service for clients. My remit is extensive and demanding, working closely with providers to ensure that all client needs are met in a timely and accurate manner.

I believe in being well organised and this helps enable our internal processes to be as efficient as possible, for all parties involved. I am also responsible for office management procedures, so I like to keep everything in good order!

Building strong relationships with clients is crucial to my role and means that I understand their needs to ensure they receive the best output from BFP. Liaising between external providers, the team internally and clients means there is a lot of variety to my role and keeps me on my toes!

And what I specialise in

Organisation, client report writing, review and submission of applications and investment instructions, submitting cases for review in a wholly compliant manner and preparing accurate client documentation are some of the key areas I specialise in. I also defined many of the key processes when BFP was launched too – which my attention to detail was instrumental in!

A bit about me – personally

I am involved in local amateur football having managed a Sunday team for over twelve years. I am also on the league committee and am league treasurer. I am a life-long Everton supporter and I also follow my hometown team, Carlisle Utd. I enjoy walking/hiking both locally and in the Lake District and enjoy holidays in Spain; my late father lived on the Costa Blanca for several years.
